Bay is my heart dog and the most special girl in the world, she was the starting point and the foundation of our line. She has now retired from breeding but still the center of our family and our line.
She gave us some very special babies and was the start of my showing and breeding career.
We started showing Bay when she was just 6 months old, her first open show was so nerve-racking and I didn't have a clue what I was doing but Bay managed to walk away with reserve best of breed and also best puppy in breed! From that day forward we became hooked on showing. We attended a few more open shows and Bay continued to thrive. Her first written critique is from Mr Ray McDonald (Judge) It reads: Inkomo Untouchable – Newfoundland. What a sweetie. I just fell in love with the shape, head, expression, bone, and attitude. Was starting to tire a little but forgiven at the end of a long day.
After some success at local open shows we decided to bite the bullet (Despite me still having not much clue about what I was doing) and we entered our first Championship show. A huge highlight for us was LKA where Bay came 1st in a huge class of wonderful bitches. This was when we qualified for Crufts 2015 when Bay was 8 months old.
"Very pretty young lady in a very strong class of 9. It is great to see so many good young bitches coming along in the right vein at the moment. This one is perfectly proportioned now and it will be interesting to see how well she develops along with her peers. Very well I am sure."Mr. Graham D. Brace (Judge)
Bay is hilarious and gives us a laugh a minute with her quirky antics, climbing on the dining room chairs to sit like a person and the most appropriately placed case of side-eye I have ever seen... Well when she had two eyes! She now has one eye but she is doing brilliantly without the other.
She is the ultimate water dog and each time we take the dogs down the stream she is always the one right in the thick of it. When we start to head home Bay can be heard protesting, her bark becomes like that of a giant jack Russell! High pitched and whiney! She is so greedy that she has learned how to perfectly execute a demanding "Ask" without ever making a sound. She is truly a sloth, unless its time to do something she is asleep, or moving at the slowest rate possible.

Moonie aka Moonicorn -RETIRED Mum to Roo, Flute & Stryker
Kennel name: Thickish Newfoundland Going To The Moon and Back
DOB: 05/01/15
Moonie's health test results are:
HIPS: 8/9
ELBOWS 0/0
HEART: 1.75 Clear
CU: Clear
Colour: Black only
Mum to: Stryker, Flute, Roo, Shadow & Brodick
Moonie came to us from the Thickish Kennel in Italy, and we are eternally grateful to Milena and Oreste Polloni for entrusting Moonie to us. She is co-owned by myself and my good friend, Nina Coulson of Kernowbears in Cornwall. I wasn't looking for a puppy when I stumbled across her litter on Facebook, long story short as soon as I saw her I had to have her! A common theme you may see later... Whoops!
Moonie, for me, epitomizes the breed. She oozes in breed type and has the most gentle disposition.
She is the ultimate Daddies girl and idolizes Mark.
She has this almost spell-like calming effect that she can put on to others, it is something you have to experience as explaining it seems quite impossible. Every time we get the camera out she makes us giggle, she gets the nickname "The snob" because she sticks her nose in the air looking all snobby, a trait she seems to have passed on to a few of her kids. We also call her handsome as beautiful doesn't seem to cut it, she has a certain boyish beauty.
We got Moonie with the intent to show her, we did some light showing and qualified her for Crufts 2016 but that was one of the last shows she ever attended. Moonie hates showing, she would pull down her head and lean against you in the ring and refuse to move with much effect, we decided that we wouldn't push her on that one. Despite that little fact she has produced a fair number of pups that absolutely LOVE being in the ring, real show-offs! So I am pleased that little trait didn't pass on to everyone else.

I finally got my girl pup!! Flute I am sure sufferers from ADHD! Only in the ring but, of
course, this is where we want them to behave the most! She just can not stand still, much to her handlers amusement. This is where the nickname Fidget Flute came from. She is funny and so so loving,
It is the Flute show 24/7! She wants love and attention constantly, it's very sweet, unless you're busy! She adores everyone as equals, no favourites just anyone who will love on her when she none subtly demands it!
She is stunning, I love everything about her Conformation and movement. She has done extremely well in the ring so far. I can't wait to get her out again at the end of the year or when lockdown ends and allows us to show. Although Flute is a Moonie daughter we always joke that she is a secret Bay baby, they are completely unrelated but are so alike in type, coat and structure.

Roo is so much like her Momma Moonie in both looks and sweetness, she loves people but absolutely nothing comes close to her love for children, she will seek them out and love on them above any adult human, which is really sweet!
Roo and Flute are litter sisters and although they weren't raised in the same home they truly do have some kind of litter sibling syndrome. They are thick as thieves together and occasionally they will fall out, much like me and my sister did growing up! It isn't often that it happens but we have noted at times of excitement such as when visitors come they will try to compete for the attention over one and other. Outside of that Roo loves the other dogs and being part of a pack, she has bags of energy and I've never seen a Newf so athletic in my entire life. She seems to go through everyone tiring them out before moving on to the next dog she can con into a game of "Chase me". If Roo was human, she would be an Olympic gold medalist. At home or rather inside the house she reverts back to her Newf side and likes nothing more than laying right in my way! Ha! She and Flute take it in turns to be right in front of the kitchen sink and coffee making facilities!
Roo being like her momma she also isnt one that likes to show, a huge shame because she has beautiful movement and very few faults. She has the most beautful expression and eyes full of soul, a true beauty.
Monroe aka Moj Or Momoj - RETIRED
Kennel name: Selena S Berega Dona
DOB: 11/05/18
Monroe's health test results are:
HIPS: 3/3
ELBOWS: 0/0
HEART: 1.48 clear
CU: Clear
Colour: Dilute, Brown
Monroe came to us from the S Berega Dona kennel is Russia. Monroe was another puppy I wasn't actively looking for... Whoops again!
I have always admired the breed type of Natalia's Browns and one day we were chatting on Facebook and the topic of Monroe came up, I saw a few pictures and damn it I wanted her!
It isn't very often that a well-bred Dilute (None standard colour) dog will crop up but here she did and I was in love. When we decided to buy her I never anticipated that I would consider breeding from her. I just loved her, her pedigree & the look of her and I thought why not have her here.
As she grew and developed I started to see that breed type of Natalia's that I loved, granted it was in a slightly different hue but it was there! We decided to health test her... She passed, with flying colours!
I decided that I would in fact like to breed her and since a simple colour gene is easy to breed out that if I was to breed her then it will be to produce dogs who are breed standard in colour as well as the other traits that we aim to breed for.
Of course, it is controversial to some but I'm past that now, people in glass houses springs to mind! I always do right by the breed and my dogs/puppies and that wasn't about to change because of my decision to breed from her and never will.
Despite the fact Monroe is a funny colour she is a true Newfoundland, in temperment and conformation. I am quite sure that she still in fact only speaks Russian and never learned English as the typically stubborn nature of a Newf is on a whole new level with her, compared to the rest of my Newfies! As a puppy she was a little wild and a bit of a hand full but as she has matured she has become extremely sweet-natured and calmly loving. She carries around her stuffies everywhere she goes and has thus been dubbed a forever baby! She never chews them or tries to be destructive, she just carries them like her little prizes and it is very endearing! She is everyone's Favourite but I think that is likely because she is the Blonde in a sea of blacks!

Dam: Inkomo Untouchable at Newfangled

HIPS; OFA - Good
ELBOWS: OFA- Clear 0/0
HEART: 1.7 Clear
CU: Unknown
Tuppence was from our 1st ever repeat litter/mating, which was coincidently a repeat of our 1st ever litter! We decided that we "needed" a Bay & Milo Daughter after keeping both Dom and Piccolo (Boys) From their 1st litter together. We had the Deja Vu litter and kept Tuppence who was the fattest roly poly puppy you could imagine! Tuppy is just a girl version of Dom in every way, she is Sweet and wonderful and so typically Newf she melts my heart! She was so easy as a puppy that we never really got round to any formal training with her and as such she still to this day has no idea what sit means (Haha) but hey ho, we don't really need to ask her to sit anyway do we?
Tuppence has one expression! It's somewhat glum with a little bit of dopy added! She makes me laugh that her happy face mirrors her unhappy face & her excited face and so on. Her favourite thing ever is having her toes tickled! She will give anyone her paw over and over until you tickle her toes and she enters her toe tickling trance. She has lots of little quirks just like her momma Bay and gives us a laugh a minute. We absolutely love her!
